Nokia plans to fight Apple

Nokia Corp. is broadening a legal dispute with Apple Inc. over the iPhone. It filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission alleging that Apple’s iPods and computers also violate Nokia’s intellectual property rights. The company had sued Apple in U.S. District Court in Wilmington, Del., over the iPhone, claiming it infringes 10 of its patents. Apple denied the allegations and this month countered with its own lawsuit saying Nokia had copied aspects of the iPhone in its devices.

Forecasters put UK on alert for another ‘significant snowfall’

Rob Hutchinson, a forecaster with MeteoGroup, said around 40 to 50cms (16 to 19 inches) of snow could fall in Wales in a 48- hour period beginning last night.He said it was unlikely that Yorkshire would see that level of downfall, but could not rule out the potential of more snow tomorrow, particularly over the Pennines, South Yorkshire and the north Midlands.

Chetan Bhagat is very upset with 3 Idiots

Only days earlier author Chetan Bhagat was a happy man. His book Five Point Someone had inspired the biggest blockbuster of the year— 3 Idiots. And though Bhagat initially told that he was thrilled about how the movie had shaped up, in a follow-up interview with us he says that in all the hullabaloo about the film, he feels he has been shortchanged.Not only did the makers of the film shout from rooftops that the movie is “only loosely inspired” by his book, they also buried the author’s credit at the end of the film. So much so that most of the viewers missed it.
Bhagat, who has been inundated with calls and messages from fans on his Twitter account ever since the movie released this weekend, says he feels “strange”. “I was expecting an opening credit and I was quite surprised on not seeing it. They had bought the rights, made the payment and committed to a credit in the contract. It’s there, but it’s not about it being there, it’s about the placement and the prominence.”
Vindu Dara Singh wins Bigg Boss 3

Vindu Dara Singh, son of legendary wrestler Dara Singh, has won the Bigg Boss 3 defeating model Pravesh Rana and Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon. The 45-year-old who could not establish himself in Bollywood and tasted little success in the small screen took home a cash prize of Rs 1 crore. Vindus also won himself a Chevrolet Cruz for being the most stylish and bold inmate in the house defeating Rana who had claimed himself to be the style icon.
Vindu emerged winner in the third edition of the show after successfully completing 68 days in the Bigg Boss house defeating the likes of Shamita Shetty. Raju Shrivastav, Sherlyn Chopra and Ismail Durbar, Kamal Rashid Khan and Claudia Ciesla. The finale was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan who has hosted the show and played the role of a pop philosopher. The finale also saw some scintillating performances by all the house mates.
