And just like that, it’s official. Verizon Wireless has today announced that Motorola’s scrumptiously named Devour will be heading to its network next month, with it being the first VZW phone to feature Motoblur. Not that we’re seeing any surprises here, but a quick specification run down draws our attention to a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, a touch-sensitive navigation pad, a pre-installed 8GB microSD card and Bluetooth support. Unfortunately, there’s no apparent mention of multitouch — and we wouldn’t expect it out of the box, since the Devour runs Android 1.6 — but we’re crossing our fingers (and toes, for that matter) for Google to sling that delightful Nexus One update to the rest of its high-powered Android phones in the very near future. There’s nary a mention of an asking price, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye out as launch day approaches.

HTC Tilt2 – Cell Phone

In a tough business world where you need every edge to get ahead of everybody, you need a dependable partner to cover all your communication needs so that you can focus on business at hand. HTC recently announced your new business partner, the new Tilt 2 mobile phone – a direct descendant of the successful HTC Tilt and a variant of HTC Touch Pro2 plus a few minor upgrades. It shares almost the same speaker and camera lay-out as the Touch Pro2 as well as the slim chrome edges and charcoal black shiny interface.

One minor flaw in the design is the lack of support for the standard 3.5mm jack, but since this is really not designed to be a music phone, it’s not really a big deal. Another difference in design is the top row of the QWERTY keys, which has been dedicated to symbols instead of numbers. The number keys now highlighted in blue and share the letter keys on the right region of the keyboard. The good thing is that they retained the large buttons and ample spacing. The Tilt 2 also features 3.6-inch WVGA resistive touchscrn, an integrated accelerometer and proximity sensor for a truly interactive experience.

The best features of the Tilt 2 focus on the business and human interaction. Using Straight Talk technology, users can seamlessly email, call and join a conference with a simple touch and in crystal -clear sound quality. Also, the twin microphone and speakers instantly transform the phone into a speakerphone by simply placing your phone flat down on any surface.
