Bing faced big issue, very bad

Microsoft had launched a new search engine, Bing. Bing was created to tackle with the google, world’s number one search engine. But, recently, the bing suffered from outage. Outage didn’t last too long, but when it comes to a big company like microsoft, any kind of outage is bad. Users were unable to use Bing from around 6:30pm to 7:00pm (give or take 10 minutes on either side) Pacific time.
Microsoft senior vice president of the online services division, Mr. Satyam Nadella, wrote post on the same saying “The cause of the outage was a configuration change during some internal testing that had unfortunate and unintended consequences. We strive to maintain a high standard of operational excellence at Bing. We are running a post mortem to find out how our software and processes need to be improved to prevent anything like this from happening again.”
Looks like, Bing team is working hard to serve the best. Let’s cross the fingers for them. Good Luck Bing.
Microsoft Windows 7 ‘Black Screen of Death’ blamed on malware

Microsoft said that malware was to blame for the software glitch that was causing computers to display the ‘black screen of death’
Some experts had initially suspected that a recent Windows security update could be to blame for the glitch, which causes desktop icons and the start menu to disappear from computers after users log on, leaving them with a black screen.
Engineers at software company Prevx said that the patch could have caused a glitch in the Windows system registry, leading to performance issues. The “black screen” crash appeared to affect computers running the most recent Windows operating system, Windows 7, as well as older platforms, including Windows Vista and Windows XP.
But Microsoft said that malicious software, rather than a security update, was the likely cause of the problem.
“We’ve conducted a comprehensive review of the November Security Updates, the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, and the non-security updates we released through Windows Update in November,” said Microsoft. “That investigation has shown that none of these updates make any changes to the permissions in the registry. Thus, we don’t believe the updates are related to the ‘black screen’ behaviour described in these reports.”

With most holiday shoppers looking to save money, Microsoft and eBay will present online Daily Deals through a new Windows Internet Explorer 8 Web Slice that will showcase popular products selling at deep discounts. Customers will receive continuing updates and detailed information about these Daily Deals for eBay, all within the Favorites Bar in Internet Explorer 8.
