Twitter is over capacity Too many tweets!

Social Networking best growing site is facing problems. Have you seen your twitter page show like this? “Twitter is over capacity. Too many tweets! Please wait a moment and try again.” Are you frustrated? Don’t worry, you are not alone. This is one of the hottest discussion in web.
Technically speaking you are getting this message because you are being redirected to Twitter’s 503 page (503 Service Unavailable page which indicates that twitter Web server is currently unable to handle the request because of a temporary overload or maintenance of the server.)
Why Twitter server is overloaded?
Sometimes twitter traffic is very rapidly and its Web server is unable to handle rapid amount of request in very short period of time (server temporary overload). Hence you a re getting “Twitter is over capacity. Too many tweets!….”.
Twitter has become the SMS of the Internet. Because of its restricted 140 characters per post, It has become the hottest thing in social networking. Every one from big companies, to CEO’s to youngsters’ uses Twitter. According to Forrester estimates around 5 people use Twitter, this causes overload.
Ultimately Twitter has to fix it’s overload issue. Till then, relax take a chill pill for few minutes before start tweeting (hopefully no server temp overload at that time).
Oprah Ends Talk Show

As you may have heard, Oprah is scheduled to announce during tomorrow’s show that she will end her talk show, “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” in September 2011 to focus on her upcoming cable channel. The news came out earlier in the afternoon and it’s now spreading through Twitter at an astonishing rate.
Not only does Oprah now dominate Twitter’s trending topics across multiple terms, which is quite remarkable given the volume of New Moon noise, but Trendrr has alerted us to the fact that Oprah mentions, in just the first hour alone after the news broke, skyrocketed to more than 8,000 tweets.

SRK & Twitter, simply cherry on a cake

Shah Rukh Khan is a hit on Twitter. So is his imposter. The actor, who goes by the ID ‘iamsrk’ on the microblogging site, joined Twitter at 2:38 am on January 3, and the fake Shah Rukh followed up with the similar sounding ID ‘imsrk’ just an hour later, at 3:31 am.While the real Shah Rukh is amassing followers at a record speed, having a total of 41,890 followers so far, the fake ID is also garnering popularity, with over 3,190 followers already.
Interestingly, while Shah Rukh Khan follows 12 people, including actors Uday Chopra, Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and filmmaker Karan Johar, the fake one, only follows two — Johar, and The Onion, an American news source.

“Social Networks may be hacked by CyberCriminals” – McAfee Inc

McAfee Inc, world’s largest dedicated security technology, said recently that – Cybercriminals may create problems with Social Networking. Before few days ago, twitter was hacked and now, in 2010 Facebook, Twitter, basically social networking sites are potential targets.
Overnight McAfee Avert Labs confirmed that there is a political element to Thursday’s cyberattacks that downed Twitter and slowed down Facebook. According McAfee Avert Labs, blogging site LiveJournal, video site Youtube and photo sharing service Fotki were also among the targets.
